Sweet Home School District is pleased to announce the next Driver Education session at Sweet Home High School starting on Monday, April 13, 2026. Details on the program and a digital registration form, can be found here: 
 
 
  1. The in-car portion of Driver Education will be offered by Hoffman's Driving Academy. 
  2. You must take both a classroom session and an in-car session. Classroom sessions will take place at Sweet Home High School Room 400B. 
  3. Cost is $879.00. Registration is open immediately.
  4. You must either pay in full or place a deposit of $100 to hold your spot. Checks can be made out to Sweet Home Community Education. We also accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
  5. Sweet Home High students will receive preference in registration. 
  6. All absences must be made up in order to complete the course. There is a $50 fee that will be charged to students for a make-up for a missed session.
  7. The course must be paid in full before you are issued your Certificate of Completion.

Senior Gavin Flatau Takes Home First Place in SkillsUSA Competition

Congratulations to Sweet Home Senior Gavin Flatau, who took home first place at the SkillsUSA Area 1 Regional Competition! Gavin attends the Kenton Career and Technical Education Center and earned the gold medal in Electrical Wiring. He will join the other medalists in a state competition in Syracuse in April. Way to go, Gavin! #WeAreSweetHome

Our Unified Bowling team wrapped up their season this week with a tournament at Airport Lanes. Our Panthers came in 3rd place in our division! After the tremendous success of past events, Sweet Home Dollars for Scholars is holding its Scholarship Meat Raffle on Friday, April 17 at 7pm at St. Leo the Great Parish Center. This event has SOLD OUT in the past and we are limited to 275 tickets sold - so please get your tickets early. Proceeds from this event will be put toward our Senior Scholarship Fund - last year we gave away over $108,000 to our graduating seniors!

Tickets for the event are $10 and we are accepting reservations for tables of 8 for $75. Your admission includes beer, wine and soda. You are welcome to bring your own snacks.

Yesterday, Sweet Home hosted the Section VI Girls Wrestling Prelims and Placement Rounds for the Individual Wrestling Championships. It was a very special night, as our own Sofia Guadagna reached 100 wins - the FIRST girl to ever reach this milestone in Sweet Home's history! We are so incredibly proud of Sofia and our entire Girls Wrestling team, coached by Sweet Home alum Bailey Crouse. Congratulations to Sofia and all of our wrestlers! #WeAreSweetHome
