2025-2026 District Budget

2025-26 Proposed Budget Snapshot:

  • Budget Increase from 2024-25 School Year: 5.14%
  • Within the Property Tax Levy Cap: The proposed 2025-26 budget seeks an increase in the overall tax levy of 0.4%, falling at the State Imposed Tax Cap for the District and well below the rate of inflation. Because the budget falls within the tax cap, it only needs a simple majority to pass on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
  • What impact will the proposed budget have on my taxes? Using current year assessment data, taxes on a home assessed at $250,000 in the Town of Amherst would see an increase of $7 on their tax bill. A similar home in the Town of Tonawanda would see a $9 increase on their tax bills.
  • Where and when will voting take place: Voting on the proposed 2025-26 school district budget will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 7am - 9pm in the Vergils Community Center on the High School campus. Please enter through Door #6 which is the entrance for District Office.
