2026-2027 District Budget

2026-27 Proposed Budget Snapshot:

  • Budget Increase from 2025-26 School Year: 2.87%
  • Within the Property Tax Levy Cap: The proposed 2026-27 budget seeks an increase in the overall tax levy of 3.3%, falling at the State Imposed Tax Cap for the District. Because the budget falls within the tax cap, it only needs a simple majority to pass on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
  • What impact will the proposed budget have on my taxes? Using current year assessment data, taxes on a home assessed at $250,000 in the Town of Amherst would see an increase of $79 on their tax bill. A similar home in the Town of Tonawanda would see a $79 increase on their tax bills.
  • Where and when will voting take place: Voting on the proposed 2026-27 school district budget will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 7am - 9pm in the Vergils Community Center on the High School campus. Please enter through Door #6 which is the entrance for District Office.
