On Tuesday, February 11, the Sweet Home Board of Education approved new start and stop times for the 2025-2026 School Year. These changes were studied, developed, and proposed by the Building Use Committee (BUC) and presented to the Board during the January study session and voting session. We appreciate the feedback we received from parents during the 30-day comment period. The Q&A below addresses many of the common questions we received.
Child Care Options:
Based on the survey results regarding before-school care for all elementary-age students in Sweet Home, Just for Kids will be offering TWO locations for services starting in the 2025-2026 school year. Glendale Elementary and Heritage Heights Elementary will be open for all elementary students, no matter what Sweet Home elementary school they attend, starting at 7 a.m. for the 2025-26 school year. If your child does not attend Glendale or Heritage Heights, Sweet Home will transport your child to their respective elementary school before the start of the school day. For after-school care, each one of our elementary buildings will host a Just for Kids program next year. After-school care runs from dismissal to 6 p.m. We would like to thank Just for Kids for working with Sweet Home to provide additional options for our families.
