On Tuesday, February 11, the Sweet Home Board of Education approved new start and stop times for the 2025-2026 School Year. These changes were studied, developed, and proposed by the Building Use Committee (BUC) and presented to the Board during the January study session and voting session. We appreciate the feedback we received from parents during the 30-day comment period. The Q&A below addresses many of the common questions we received.
Update April 25, 2025:
Many of our elementary parents have reached out to the District to inquire about before-and/or after-school care after new start times were announced in February, especially at Glendale and Heritage Heights Elementary Schools. Since then, we have been working with our before- and after-school care provider, Just for Kids (JFK) to determine our program needs for the 2025-2026 school year. If you are, or will be a parent of an elementary student next year, it is CRITICAL that you complete the survey below. JFK has been an excellent care provider for the District, and they are willing to expand services if there is a need. The survey will take three minutes to complete and runs through the end of May. Take the survey TODAY if your child needs before- and/or after-school care next year.
